In December of 2004 God was stirring Jonathan and Tracey Elwell with a vision to see a church established that will impact the community through prayer and seeking God, and serving charities in the area with there resources. Hope Community Church is a group of people from a variety of experiences and backgrounds, that all have a desire to impact the community with the love of God. - " I don't preach a social gospel because I cant, but because there are other churches in the local area fulfilling the social and practical needs of our community, our vision is an emphasis on the quality of the Christianity that is lived by the people who want to reach higher go deeper see the things of God as in the early church, have a real tangible relationship with the holy spirit and not just a passing acquaintance. The faith that raises people from the dead and lets blind eyes see, is not faith easily forgotten or dismissed it is faith that lasts a lifetime! - learning to let the holy spirit be your life guide and not a belief system that seldom lasts - as a church HCC is called to make disciples, nothing gives us greater pleasure than to see someone become the person God created them to be, living and growing consistently in God. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Although a small church the people of Hope are a fantastic group of committed and hard working individuals that know the calling of God for there lives, an enthusiasm and Zeal for the things of God, and dedication to see things change for the better in the community. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Hope Community Church is led by Jon & Tracey Elwell who both committed there life to Christ while in Childhood and have continued to be both consistent their service to God. "We believe that the church needs to be relevant to the community where it is planted, our desire is to teach the Word of God in such a way that people are built up in their faith and learn to overcome in every situation that life throws at them". We has a passion to see people become all God has destined them to be, believing that each person is special to God and created for a purpose. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Travelling on the A1: Off Junction 58: Travel on the A68 toward West Auckland for two miles, at the roundabout take the second exit on the A6072 toward Newton Aycliffe for a mile, at the roundabout take the third exit toward Newton Aycliffe, after half a mile turn left into Eastfields Road. Off Junction 59: Travel on the A167 Toward Newton Aycliffe for a mile through Aycliffe Village, turn left onto St Cuthbert's way. take 2nd left after petrol station onto Horndale avenue. continue until painted roundabout. turn left towards school Aycliffe. take right turn just before pedestrian crossing into Eastfields. continue to bottom of hill |
